The Ocean Grove / Barwon Heads townships are going ahead under the Rudd Labor government. There's school upgrades, new housing initiaitves, and solar hot water subsidies.

UPGRADING LOCAL OCEAN GROVE / BARWON HEADS SCHOOLS. All primary schools in the Ocean Grove / Barwon Heads area are getting major upgrades. This includes new school halls, new libraries, classroom and learning centres. These facilities will also be open to the public for their general use.
For example the Ocean Grove Primary School is getting a $3 million upgrade, Our Lady Star of the Sea will get $2 million and Surfside Primary School refurbishment of classrooms for $400,000.
GEELONG RING ROAD. The Federal Government is providing almost half of the funding for the Geelong Ring Road, which will bring jobs and economic development to the whole of the region. The Geelong Ring Road will also reduce commuting times to Melbourne and reduce traffic and commuting times in the Geelong City area, as well as reduce pollution.
