$2 MILLION FOR OCEAN GROVE SHELL RESERVE COMMUNITY AND SPORTS FACILITIES The Gillard Labor Government will provide a $2 million contribution to the City of Greater Geelong for the Shell Road Ocean Grove Community and Sports Precinct if re-elected on 21 August. The announcement was made last week by Labor Member for Corangamite, Darren Cheeseman, along with former Prime Minister Bob Hawke.

NEW WATER RECYCLING SCHEME FOR TORQUAY

A Gillard Labor Government will co-invest in a major new water recycling initiative in Torquay that will help protect Geelong’s future water supplies. The Gillard Labor Government will provide $10.5 million for the $21 million project, which involves constructing a dual pipeline system to deliver recycled water to 3,000 new homes in north Torquay, to the new Torquay Sports and Civic Precinct, to local market gardeners and flower growers, the Spring Creek Sporting Reserve and the Torquay Golf Club..

Huge win for Winchelsea

The Federal Government today announced funding of $2,060,000 for the Winchelsea Sports and Community Hub under the Regional Council Infrastructure Fund. Local Federal MP, Darren Cheeseman, said today the Winchelsea Sports and Community Hub was one of the most important projects he had advocated for since being elected.

The Federal Liberal candidate’s recent slip-up revealing secret Liberal Party plans to pump water out of the West Gellibrand River and Reservoir and into the Barwon Reservoir is stealing water from the people of Colac and Warrnambool, Federal MP, Darren Cheeseman, said today. “This is a straight-forward water heist from Colac and Warrnambool,” Darren Cheeseman said.
